Cost Control Services

Financial and Owner's Agent Services

Although our primary services are in the field of Quantity Surveying and Project Monitoring our knowledge and past experiences enable us to provide financial and project management services on an as need basis. A brief outline of our project and financial services is as follows:

  • Inception

    Liaise with clients and other consultants to determine the client's initial requirements

  • General and Continuing Services

    Attending meetings with the clients, other consultants, third parties and contractors including regular site meetings.

  • Initial Feasibility

    Prepare initial budget estimate to test feasibility of proposals.

  • Cost Planning / Building Economics & Monitoring

    Prepare and develop preliminary cost plan.

  • Tender / Bid and Contractual Arrangements

    Advise on suitable tendering and contractual arrangements.

  • Tender / Bid and Contract Documentations

    In conjunction with other members of the design team prepare tender / contract documentation and provide copies as required.

  • Selection of Tenders / Bidders

    Advise on prospective bidders for client to produce shortlist.

  • Tender / Bid Report

    Check tender / bid submission for accuracy.

  • Construction

    Advise on the availability of materials and components and establish the most advantageous analysis of the construction cost

  • Cost Monitoring

    Value the architect or engineer's draft payment certificates for variation before issuance.

  • Interim Payment

    Prepare recommendations for interim payment to contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers.

  • Final Account

    Prepare and if appropriate, negotiate the settlement of the final account.

  • Review of Program

    Using reasonable endeavors to keep the project on program and in line with the client's expectations.

  • Project Procedures

    Establishing a management framework within the project team.

  • Monitoring of Construction Works

    Co-ordination or appointing suitable organization to control and co-ordinate work on site.

  • Monitoring Performance and Progress

    Monitoring work in progress, costs and the performance of the professional team.

  • Monitoring of Works

    Making periodic visits to the site during the course of the works to monitor progress.

  • Commissioning / Hand-over

    Arranging the hand-over of the building.

  • Post Construction Management Duties

    Providing where necessary, all co-ordination of duties.

  • Health and Safety

    Liaising closely to ensure that the legal requirements of the construction regulation are fully complied with.
